Service Dogs Accompany Their Handlers To The Theater

K-9 Country Inn Working Service Dogs knows how important it is for service dogs to be able to go with their handlers in a public environment. So, on August 15, they set a day for the dogs in training to enjoy a performance of Billy Elliot at Stratford Festival in Ontario, Canada.

As you can see, the dogs calmly watched the show. Audiences who were present were also thrilled to see the dogs. Stratford Festival spokesperson Ann Swerdfager says, “It’s wonderful that going to the theatre is considered one of the things that you want to train a service dog for, rather than thinking that theatre is out of reach for people who require a service animal, because it isn’t.”
